his CEU Workshop is your FIRST STEP.... to just do it!Just like playing a musical instrument, Phlebotomy must be PERFORMED so you can personally gain the experience.
Many local Hospitals also teach a Phlebotomy Workshop in an 4 Hour wolrkshop and then you go on the floor of the hospital and DO IT with the supervision of an experienced person. Hospitals and employers will have you over-shadow someone with experience for your FIRST 20 to 30 LIVE Blood Draws. That is how everyone STARTS in this job.
YOU WILL TRULY LEARN PHLEBOTOMY by doing your FIRST 30 to 50 Live Blood Draws at your first job. In fact, local colleges and Universities DO NOT PERFORM ANY LIVE BLOOD DRAWS during the Phlebotomy class.
During this CEU Workshop, you will PRACTICE Phlebotomy only on an Articulate Nursing Arms with veins.
In every career choice... No matter now many times you do this in the classroom setting, you will always be an apprentice with this type of skill sets until you GAIN LIVE working EXPERIENCE! This is what an APPRENTICE does. They are under the direct supervision of an EXPERIENCE person.
After you have 100 or more LIVE BLOOD DRAWS, then you are considered an EXPERIENCED Phlebotomist.
You can NOT do 2 or 3 LIVE BLOOD DRAWS in any classroom setting and say you are NOW EXPERIENCED. This class is STEP 1 towards your goal.
You must realize that everyone in this professions takes their first steps and gains experience by working in the field and doing Live Blood Draws.
